The holy Shivagiri Ashram located here attracts many pilgrims.

Bekal : Bekal is a spot that haunts tourists from all parts of the world. The spectacular beach and remnants of an ancient fort by the shore make Bekal a unique one. The solitude seekers and nature lovers will love to be here, where the majestic ruins evoke the drama of epic wars and raging romances.

Other Beaches : The cherai beach near Cochin is enriched by the abundance of the palm trees. Its peace and placidness are unparalleled. Kappad beach near Calicut takes the visitor back to a period spanning over six centuries. Vasco-Da-Gama, the Portuguese traveller landed in Kappad in 1948 AD.
