DAY 1
Arrival in Chennai otherwise known as Madras. Transfer to
Mahabalipuram Beach. Day at leisure at the Resort.
DAY 2
Full day sightseeing of Mahabalipuram to cover the marvellous
monuments built by the Pallavas. ON at the Beach Resort.
DAY
3 Transfer to Pondicherry for a full day sightseeing of the French
incorporation in the development of the City. ON at Hotel.
DAY
4 Transfer to Tanjore which is famous for its silk, carpets and
jewellery. Full day sightseeing of Tanjore to cover the famous
Brihadeeskwara Temple which is a masterpiece of Chola architects, The
Palace, Art Gallery, Saraswathy Mahal Library etc. ON at Tanjore
Hotel.
DAY 5 Transfer to Madurai - the ancient City
of Temples. PM sightseeing of Madurai. Evening visit Meenakshi Temple
with a local guide. ON in Hotel.
 DAY
6 Proceed to Periyar the famous Wildlife Sanctuary of Kerala.
Check into a forest side resort to be in full green. Rest of the day
at leisure to walk around.
DAY 7 Early morning take a
boat ride through the Periyar Lake to watch the wildlife and dark deep
forest. After breakfast option for forest trekking with guide and
spice shopping. Afternoon proceed to a plantation visit to watch the
spice plantations. ON at Hotel.
DAY 8 After an early
breakfast transfer to Kumarakom famous for its backwaters and coconut
groves. Check into a backwater Resort. Rest of the day at leisure. You
will have option for your own activities in the Resort itself.

9 Morning transfer by road to Kottayam to take a boat trip to
Alleppey through the enchanting Backwaters of Kerala. From Alleppey
transfer by road to Cochin - the Queen Of Arabian Sea. Check into an
off-city Hotel to be in the serene beauty of Nature. On at Hotel.
DAY
10 Full day sightseeing of Cochin covering Fort Cochin, Willington
Island-the man made island, Hill Palace Museum, Mattancherry Palace,
Jewish Synagogue, Jew Town etc. There is option for visiting typical
local Painter's Gallery, Handicrafts making unit run by the Christian
Charity Management, Ayurvedic Medicine Manufacturing Unit etc.
DAY
11 Transfer by road to Coimbatore city Hotel. Afternoon shopping
in the City. ON at the Hotel
DAY 12 Check out the
Hotel early morning 5.30 to proceed to Mettuppalayam Railway Station
to take a journey in the Mountain Train to Ootty. Get down at Coonoor
the valley of Ootty then to proceed by road to Ootty the most
beautiful hill station in Tamilnadu. Check into a Hotel on the Nilgiri
hills. Full day sightseeing of Ooty's Natural greenery tea plantations
etc. ON at hotel
DAY 13 Transfer by road to
Mysore-the Garden City. Mysore is the major incense manufacturing
centre in India. Check into a city Hotel. Evening visit the Brindavan
Gardens. ON at Hotel.
DAY 14 Full day sightseeing of
Mysore covering Mysore Palace, Ckamundi Hills etc. ON at Hotel.

15 Full day round trip to Srirangapatnam - the island town
encircled by river Cauvery which was once the capital of Tippu Sultan
- The Tiger Of Mysore and Somnathpur - a small village on the banks of
Cauvery river famous for the temple built by the Hoysala Kings. Back
to Mysore for ON stay.
DAY 16 Transfer to Bangalore.
Check into a City Hotel. PM city tour of Bangalore.
DAY
17 Full day sightseeing and shopping of Bangalore to cover Cubbon
Park, Vidhana Soudha, Museum, Lalbagh Gardens, Jawaharlal Nehru
Planetarium etc. ON at Hotel.
DAY 18 Transfer to
Bangalore Airport for onward journey. |
